Today is my 45th birthday. Here are 15 things I know now that I wish I knew at 30:1. You can never be too kind.2. Creating is way better than consuming! Create more than you consume.3. A personal connection goes a long way. We all crave for it.4. Coaching, training or educating is a hot skill then and still a hot skill now.5. You know more than you know. Speak up. You are valued, seen and understood. Trust your brilliance.6. You can have multiple ways to make a living. Your job is one of many.7. Invest in people and projects that energize you.8. Make time to engage in your hobbies, such as dancing, listening to feel-good music and staying still to just BE.9. Failure is not bad. It's a data point. Learn and keep going!10. Friendship falls in the crucial relationships category a person must have (in addition to parents, siblings, spouse, children). Having a friend who listens and lets you vent out is a gift. Otherwise, you'd be spending a lot of $$$ in therapy.11. Why are you always in a hurry? Slow down and enjoy the getting there part of your life journey.12. Perfect practice makes progress. Used to think: everything must always be perfect.- to get started- to make a decision- to submit a presentationNow: It's the progress that counts. 13. Whatever you're feeling, it's okay to feel that.14. Show people you are interested in them, before telling them how interesting you are. 15. Being a hands-on, working-from-home mom can be a challenge, but watching your child grow up is one of the most blissful life experiences. Thankful for friends all these years.Thankful for family who are also my friends.Thankful for all the amazing humans I met here. Hazel Rodriguez

How's your day, so far? Sharing these 5 go-to books I keep close and refer to when I need inspiration and energy within the work day:1️⃣ The Book of Beautiful Questions by Warren BergerI love how he coined the term "questionologist". You can tell a lot about a person by the types of questions asked. This book has so many powerful ones. Wanna learn more? Ask good questions.2️⃣ Stories that Stick by Kindra HallI like how Kindra guides the reader on how to find your story, with a 4-story cheat sheet bonus in the appendix. Story-telling is a great skill to master.3️⃣ Why Had Nobody Told Me This Before by Dr. Julie SmithThis book saved me during the pandemic. It's broken down by bite-size chapters that touch on mental health. The other day, I was dealing with grief for remembering my late mom.I took Dr. Julie's advise, and accepted this new reality without Mama. A life-saver at that moment!4️⃣ Stealing Fire by Steven Kotler and Jamie WhealI've learned a lot about how elite the Navy Seal team is, and what their practices are. Flow state was also introduced to me through this book. A must-read!5️⃣ Love is the River by Ann AlbersAnn wrote a lot about self-love, feel-goodness and a higher consciousness that orchestrates the galaxy we live in. It's a delight to read this book! A happiness booster. How about you, what are your go-to books? I'm curious to know!

First, we were taught: time management. ⏰Then, we learned it's more about: task management. 📋These days, I know myself too well and practice: energy management. ⚡What is energy management? It's allocating tasks based on your energy levels. 💪It's doing your most demanding work when you have the highest energy. 🌟Being a working-from-home, hands-on mom, this looks different daily. 🏠👩👧Over the last 9 years, these are 3 practices that work for me, that I hope work for you too:1. Identify Your Peak Energy Times: Pay attention to when you feel most alert and focused throughout the day. For me, it's when my son is still asleep, at school, finished with homework, fed, and sound asleep. 🌞💤2. Break Tasks into Energy-Friendly Chunks: Instead of powering through long tasks, break them into smaller, more manageable chunks. Rather than saying, "I will finish item #1 on my to-do list," how about, "Within the next 30 minutes of focused work, what can I accomplish?" ⏳📝3. Incorporate Regular Breaks: Take short, frequent breaks to recharge. Use these moments to stretch, hydrate, or step outside for fresh air. A quick trip to the kitchen for some lemon water gives me that break to stand up and reset. 🌿🍋By syncing your work with your natural energy rhythms, you can enhance productivity and maintain a better work-life alignment. ✨It's a brand new week, let's do this! 💪🙌#MomLife#WorkFromHome#EnergyManagement Hazel Rodriguez Michelle E. The other day, I had a call when someone said, "Mae, may you..."Mae and May. Made me smile. I love the month of May. Not only because it's my birth month (thus, my name). It's also during spring (here in the U.S.) when, everything's colorful. Plus, it's Mental Wellness month. So today, I ask you to:Make time to stay still.Make time to connect with a loved one.Make time to stretch, move and thank your body.Make time to listen to music that feeds your soul and spirit. Make time. You're a maker.Make.Hazel Rodriguez Rona Joan Bartolini Jaymie Reyes Eunice Jimenez Liv Barao Rina Rose dela Cruz

Knowledge. We all know something. So what? Now what? 🤔Knowledge alone is static. In this GenAI era, it's not just about knowing the who, what, when, or even how. It's about thinking through the "WHY" and the "SO THAT". 💡Put that into action to make a valuable impact. That's what sets you apart. 🌟You're a knowledge expert on a subject matter? ACT on it, quickly. 🚀#Impact #FutureOfWork#ActionableInsight

Moms are superhumans. That's why -✨Today is the busiest day in the restaurant industry, right Sister Hazel? ✨For today, millions were spent for gifts.Though Moms appreciate all these. They'd also love:💕 A warm, tight hug.💕 A sincere "I love you".💕 Our attention, time and energy.💕 Making them feel how much we love them.💕 A space for them to enjoy silence and stillness. When my mom passed away 12 years ago, these are what keep me going on days like Mother's day:💚 Missing her today will always hurt - but the memories we had are heart-warming.💚 To treasure the time I have with dad He's key to knowing mom before I even existed.💚 As a mom now myself, I'd do everything to listen, understand and cheer my son on. Afterall, who knows the entire history since day 0 of our children better than us moms, right? Here are tulips from me to you Super Moms out there. I celebrate you. 💐Toan Huynh Hazel Rodriguez Eunice Jimenez Jaymie Reyes Rina Rose dela Cruz Liv Barao Joan Dawinan Abby Taye Laura Peterson

🚀 New to a Project Still Gearing Up? Here are 3 Ways to Get Ahead1. Consume and learn all about your client. One way to do it: explore their website. Click through, read, take notes and watch videos to understand their mission, products, and culture.2. Ask if you can have a copy of the signed SOW (statement of work). It's your roadmap, outlining precisely what's expected in your role. 3. Continue taking internal trainings that would sharpen skills for your role. Even better, aim for a certification!🔥 Inspired by a recent chat with a colleague, these steps will help you prepare and make a significant impact from day one!
