Sugar Free Low Carb Cookie Dough Recipe

There's something about real cookie dough that makes one drool. Is it the creamy texture? The raw and almost fudge like consistency? Or is it just that sinfulness of eating a bite when you're sweet tooth is calling?

I'm not sure one can even answer that because it all comes down to the fact that raw cookie dough made with eggs can make anyone pretty sick.

Might not stop a lot of people from eating the batter or anything you are baking, but it certainly doesn't sound appetizing to me.

With the threat of salmonella from eating raw eggs, I'd rather avoid the possibility of it at all costs. I've got too much to do and can't get sick like that no matter how tempting a raw cookie dough bite might be.

This creamy cookie dough dip recipe came to be because I was recently making a few batches of cookies!! I just posted them a few days ago, myLow Carb Chocolate Chip Cookiesyou see in the pictures here.

This dessert dip was a huge hit with the entire family!

And they are so good and knowing how delicious that cookie batter is, I was tempted to eat just a little.

So of course I had to create an edible cookie dough version that wouldn't make anyone sick. Excluding the eggs all together for this low carb cookie dough dip works beautifully and is everything it should be.

Carbs in Cookie Dough Dip

No, traditional cookie dough is not keto friendly or low carb as it's filled with white refined sugar or brown sugar or maple syrup.

According to Cronometer, the tracking app I use, if you were going to eat one serving about 19 grams of Nestle Toll House, Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, you're looking at 87 calories, 11.4 grams of total carbs.

2 Tablespoons of our low carb cookie dough dip has just 1 gram total carbs!

Healthy Cookie Dough Dip

Creamy sweet dip and smooth and luscious no bake dessert. Richly decadent. Sinful.

Well no it's not really sinful at all and the perfect dip for your next party!

Quick when having a cookie dough craving, but won't spike your blood sugar!

Not sinful at all for a delicious sweet treat or afternoon snack. Not quite low in calories and fat, but low in carbs and no sugar is a pretty good deal better, than typical cookie dough in my humble opinion.

No Bake Cookie Dough Dip

Anyway if you're a dip lover, I've got a bunch of yummy ones to choose from.

Can I make this dairy free?

Yes you can swap the regular cream cheese with vegan cream cheese if you prefer. Swap the butter with coconut oil.

Can I replace the cream cheese?

If you don't want to use cream cheese you could swap it with plain Greek yogurt but please note, the consitiency and texture will be different.

Cream cheese is thicker than Greek yogurt, so you will have a looser dip rather than firmer, thick cookie dough dip.

What is Tahini?

Tahini is made from blending sesame seeds until smooth to make the same texture and consistency of peanut butter.

Can I replace the tahini?

Yes, you can use any nut butter of choice, (almond butter, peanut butter, macadamia nut butter) you like in place of the tahini paste I used. You could also use sunflower butter to keep it nut free if you prefer.

Can I use raw nuts instead?

You could use raw nuts, but be sure to process them until smooth before completing the rest of the recipe.

Can I change the low carb sweetener?

Yes, you can use whatever sweetener you prefer and the 1 teaspoon of vanilla stevia here makes this only slightly sweet.

I would suggest starting out with a small amount of whatever sweetener you use then taste and adjust to your preference. You can always add more if needed. Use my to decide how much of another sweetener to use.

Can I use this Sugar Free Cookie Dough Dip to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies?

No, this cookie dough dip does not include almond flour or coconut flour or any flour so making formed low carb cookies that you bake, would not work well.
